Teaching is Tough..

6th day at work, out of my 6 days, i am late in 4 days..

ouch!* eventhough just late by less than 10 minutes..

just for the record, i was late by 3 minutes today.. hehe..

oh my god, now i know how hard it is to be a teacher..

it's not easy to keep in control and making sure your students are following through especially when there are many and they catch up with different speeds. you either slow down to make sure the non followers follow up or you go faster to make sure the smarter ones is still listening. either way you might lose half of them! so i figured a way which is to get the smarter ones to be involved in the role of teacher and help out in explaining when necessary. lol~ i'm such a lame teacher tapping on the students' comprehension of the subject matters haha~ well at least i reexplain the things with different context and point of views to add on to it?? haha~

gosh today i felt rather pressured in one of the classes too.. since students weren't able to submit to me the questions they have issues with earlier as i requested, i just have to deal with impromptu questions raised coz i asked for it.. i ended up couldn't find the answer and was wondering how my method was wrong.. luckily 2 students came to my rescue and was able to clear my mind later on to wrap up the question, then i noticed i made a false conceptual application in my steps, gosh i completely lost control of the class when i was thinking through the mistakes.. hard man..

and man it's creepy when your class says they understand the topic already and let's move to the next chapter when you were not prepared.. honestly i was shocked and was figuring how am i going to teach them a new topic when i was not even sure what's the contents in it lol~

argh!!! today i gotta study like mad already.. ='(

nap first think later hehe~ ^_^

  1. i'm impressed..wish i had known sooner that you got the teaching job...u seem to be doing very well for someone who has just started..keep up the good work..and i think using the cleverer students to help out the weaker ones is a smart move...my teachers did that all the time..good luck for your future..i'm happy you found the courage to do what you've always wanted =p
